Reserve Officers' Training Corps (ROTC) cadets of Central Philippines State University achieved a collective 92.29% grade for the Regional Annual Administrative and Tactical Inspection (RAATI) 2024 last May 9 at CPSU Main Campus.
Led by Corp Commander CDT LTC MARKY DAVE A SUELAN and supervised by CPT FERNANDO D OLIVEROS JR (QMS) PA, commandant, 505 ROTC cadets were evaluated by the RAATI 2024 inspecting team headed by their Chairperson COL RAUL S VIGO, GSC (Inf) PA.
173 students from CPSU Main, 59 from Candoni, 54 from Cauayan, 27 from Hinigaran, 73 from Hinoba-an, 109 from Sipalay, and 10 from Victorias campuses performed their best to obtain an outstanding average score of 922.94 out of 1,000 points.
CPSUโs President Dr. Aladino C. Moraca, Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Fernando D. Abello, university officials, faculty, staff, and students witnessed the event and cascaded their support with rounds of applause and resounding cheers.
The tactical inspection included various assessments namely: (1) Administration and Management; (2) Evaluation of Commandant and Staff; (3) Arrival Honors; (4) Ceremonial Parade; (5) Military Stakes including Map Reading, Disassembly and Assembly of M16 Rifle, Knot Tying, and Small Unit Tactics or SUT; (6) Close Order Drill or Company Drill; (7) Basic Life Support; and ( Comprehensive Examination.
The RAATI, which aims โto test the unitsโ degree of administrative efficiency, training management, proficiency, and quality of training attained by the Corps of Cadetsโ and which also โintends to test the operational readiness of the ROTC units and allow the students to experience the real meaning of basic soldieryโ is an essential part of the holistic formation of the Filipino youth in addressing internal and external issues that the country faces and will face.
