Sipalay Campus
Campus Overview:
The Central Philippines State University- Sipalay Campus was established in the year 1996 thru Resolution Nos. 096-075 of the Sangguniang Bayan Members of Sipalay and 96-076 dated June 3, 1996 authorizing the Municipal Mayor of Sipalay to enter into a Memorandum of Agreement with the Negros Occidental Agricultural College (NOAC), Kabankalan, Negros Occidental, and the Congressman of the 6th District of Negros Occidental relative to the opening of the NOAC, Gil Montilla Campus in the Municipality of Sipalay, Negros Occidental, Philippines for the offering of some courses. The legal basis for this request is the provisions of Section 17 of Republic Act No. 7160 as amended or the Local Government Code and Section No. 27 of Batas Pambansa 232 or the Education Code of 1982. It might be mentioned that House Bill No. 9873 authored by Honorable Congressman Genaro M. Alvarez Jr. was passed by the Congress of the Philippines automatically provides that NOAC - Sipalay Campus is one of the extension campuses to be included.
Today, the Central Philippines State University (CPSU)- Sipalay Campus offers the following programs in accordance to Commission on Higher Education (CHED) Memorandums: Bachelor of Secondary Education (BSED) major in Science (CMO No. 75, s. 2017 and CMO No. 20, s. 2013), Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management (BSHM) (CMO No. 62, s. 2017), and Bachelor of Science in Agribusiness (BSAB) (CMO No. 24, s. 2007). The three (3) programs that were currently offered by CPSU- Sipalay Campus were CHED compliant having the Certificate of Program Compliance numbers: COPC No. 48, series of 2023 for the Bachelor of Science in Agribusiness, COPC No. 51, series of 2023 for Bachelor of Secondary Education major in Science, and COPC No. 2, series of 2024 for the Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management.
Central Philippines State University (CPSU) Sipalay Campus is an ISO 9001:2015 certified higher education institution (HEI) and has recently undergone institutional accreditation by the Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines (AACCUP).
