Campus Overview:
Founded in 2002 through a resolution by the NSCA Board, Central Philippines State University Ilog Campus is the only higher education institution located in Ilog, a first-class municipality in Negros Occidental, Philippines. It is situated 25 kilometers from the main CPSU campus and about 96 kilometers from Bacolod City. Ilog, historically rich as the first capital of both Negros and Siquijor Provinces in the late 18th century, offers a blend of coastal, agricultural, and cultural significance.
The campus provides three academic programs: Bachelor of Science in Agribusiness, Bachelor of Science in Fisheries, and Bachelor of Elementary Education (BEEd) Major in General Education, all designed to meet the growing needs of students and industries in agriculture, fisheries, and education. CPSU-Ilog is known for its high academic standards, earning ISO certification and recognition as one of the top 3 performing departments within the entire CPSU system.
CPSU-Ilog has a dedicated faculty of 18 full-time faculty, all holding master's degrees, with many also holding PhDs. The campus has a student population of 253, ensuring a personalized and quality learning environment. With a strong focus on instruction, research, extension, and production, CPSU-Ilog continues to thrive as a hub of excellence in education.
Each of the programs offered is accredited and designed to meet both national and global standards. For example, the BEEd program is Level II AACCUP accredited and is applying for Level III accreditation, while the BSAB program has received Certificate of Program Compliance (COPC) No. 10, Series of 2024, and the BSFi program holds COPC No. 5, Series of 2024, from the Commission on Higher Education (CHED). These certifications ensure that CPSU-Ilog maintains the highest educational standards in preparing students for successful careers.
