Dr. Hanzel Pedrosa expressed, โThe College of Agriculture and Forestry will certainly make good use of the All-in-One Weather Station. As the university is equipped with a workforce that is capable of capitalizing on scientific information, I foresee that we will be able to harness academic profits for the advancement of our instruction, research, and agricultural practices.โ
ATMOS 41, erected in front of the CPSUโs Handloom Weaving Project facility, is capable of gathering meteorological data e.g. solar radiation, air temperature, wind speed, and precipitationโthese data being supplemental to maintaining and improving the agricultural activities nearby.
Dr. Maryvic Pedrosa said, โThe installation of the ATMOS 41 by our friends from JIRCAS, along with our friends from the SRA, is much appreciated. The office welcomes visitors and such initiatives as the university is open to the development of better agricultural and scientific operations brought by new technologies and innovations.โ
JIRCAS has visited the university several times over the past few years and this initiative from the JIRCAS, in cooperation with the SRA, is said to be a predecessor of more projects to be established for the benefit of Central Philippines State University and its scientific research and practices.
