To ensure that the Central Philippines State University’s operations are streamlined and adherent to the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), CPSU conducted its two-day QMS Management Review last January 8 and 9.
Held at CPSU’s accreditation center, the participants of the initiative are the process owners of concerned state university offices, and representatives of its extension campuses—some of whom were presenters and resource persons.
The QMS Management Review became a venue for enriching the participants' understanding of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and its standards, along with the general briefing, discussing, consolidating, and addressing of the concerns of CPSU offices.
“It is required for an organization to review its performance and action plan, and to address its issues. This activity is a requirement of the ISO standards specifically Clause 9.3 which requires Management Review,” said Dr. Michael Bacolod, IQA Auditor for Management Review.
The activity was also perceived as instrumental in acing significant future evaluations conducted on the state university and in improving daily operations for the benefit of its stakeholders.
When asked about his foresight for the workforce after the QMS Management Review, CPSU President, Dr. Aladino C. Moraca answered, “I am trying to challenge the faculty to work on this because every year, parameters for improvement and introduction to the concerns and problems are also crafted and designed.”
More activities are anticipated to take place in February as a result of the QMS Management Review.
