CHED Regional Quality Assessment Team (RQAT) visited CPSU Main Campus last April 13-14, 2023 for the purpose of conducting an evaluation and validation of the CPSU Graduate School Programs, Ph.D. in Agriculture and MS in Agriculture majors in Crop Science and Animal Science.
Technical evaluators in Agriculture were Dr. Aimee Lynn Dupo, and Dr. Rosana Mula. With them were Ma’am May De Mesa-Zapanta from CHED OPSD National Office, and Sir Paulo Cabanero from the CHED Regional Office. This activity is a requirement to obtain Certificate of Program Compliance (COPC).
Realizing this event is proof of the University’s persistent efforts to ensure that quality advanced education is provided to its clientele as it complies with the identified policies, standards and guidelines set by the Commission.
It could also be recalled that January of this year, CHED also awarded COPCs to 9 Graduate School Programs,
such as the MAED in Mathematics, English, Filipino , Physical Education, Early Childhood Education, Social Science, General Science, Educational Management and Master in Public Administration.
Dr. Riza Stephanie Abada-Alfaras, dean of the Graduate School, expressed genuine gratefulness to the working committee, the administration, and stakeholders for the support and assistance given that are instrumental in reaching this goal.
Also present during the evaluation were VP for Academic Affairs Dr. Fernando Abello, Quality Assurance Director Dr. Grenny Jungco, CAF Dean/Dept chair, Dr. Hanzel Pedrosa, PhD in Agriculture program coordinator Dr. Salvador Castor, MS Agriculture major in Crop Science program coordinator Dr. Milagros Antonio, and MS in Agriculture major in Animal Science Dr. Roland Marcel Bachiller.
