The Commission on Higher Education Regional Office (CHEDRO) VI conducted a three-day onsite monitoring, evaluation and validation of all CPSU programs, which started Monday, November 7, 2022 at the Main campus, Kabankalan City, until November 9, 2022.
Also visited in the first day were the CPSU San Carlos and Hinigaran Campuses. The next two days will include campus visits, ocular inspections, and validation of all programs and academic related services in the 7 other campuses of the University.
Led by CHEDRO VI regional director, Dr. Raul Alvarez, Jr. together with 10 other Education Supervisors II, the team looked into the various aspects of the academic and administrative services. It included curriculum reviews, program offerings, instructor qualifications, workload, library holdings, as well as ocular inspection of sites, facilities and infrastructures, including amenities for students’ welfare, among others.
Being the government’s prime conduit in improving students’ access to quality education, the Commission conducts regular monitoring and evaluation of the programs offered by higher learning institutions to ensure equity of access, effective teaching and learning, and effective curriculum enhancement which are essential in producing graduates who are globally competitive, and locally relevant to uplift the country’s workforce.
“We are here to help you strengthen your academic programs and services as a State University. This is a visit of trust and partnership. Take our inputs as a challenge to further help you in your direction towards continued academic growth,” RD Alvarez said during the post-conference.
Present in the said event were the college deans, campus administrators, directors, office heads, program chairpersons, among others.
