The Provincial Government of Negros Occidental conferred three 2024 Ecoluminaries Abanse Negrense Environmental Awards plaques to Central Philippines State University (CPSU) - Main Campus in recognition of its environment-friendly initiatives.
The university was hailed as the โ๐ง๐ผ๐ฝ ๐ญโ for the Green School Excellence Award and โ๐ง๐ผ๐ฝ ๐ก๐ผ๐๐ฐ๐ต ๐๐ถ๐๐ต ๐ต๐ต% ๐ฆ๐ฐ๐ผ๐ฟ๐ฒโ among schools implementing innovative and sustainable environmental practices.
In addition, the provincial government headed by Negros Occidental Governor, Hon. Eugenio Jose "Bong" V. Lacson, also conferred the โ๐๐ต๐ฎ๐บ๐ฝ๐ถ๐ผ๐ป ๐ถ๐ป ๐๐ผ๐ฐ๐ฎ๐น ๐๐ผ๐ป๐๐ฒ๐ฟ๐๐ฎ๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป ๐๐ป๐ถ๐๐ถ๐ฎ๐๐ถ๐๐ฒ๐โ award to the institution.
It can be recalled that the university vied for the top notch recognition during the last EcoLuminaries evaluation held last October 24โshowcasing its conservation initiatives for its local land reserve fauna and flora, garnering a 99 out of 100 score.
The plaques were conferred to CPSU in the awarding ceremony held at the Negros Residences Function Hall, Bacolod City, last December 19, 2024.
The Ecoluminaries, which signifies โ๐๐ป๐๐ถ๐ฟ๐ผ๐ป๐บ๐ฒ๐ป๐๐ฎ๐น ๐๐ต๐ฎ๐บ๐ฝ๐ถ๐ผ๐ป๐,โ was established in 2021 and is the Abanse Negrense Environmental Awardsโa prestigious recognition program honoring exceptional efforts in conservation, protection, and rehabilitation.
Last December 2023, CPSU also received the โ๐ฆ๐ฝ๐ฒ๐ฐ๐ถ๐ฎ๐น ๐๐ฟ๐ฒ๐ฒ๐ป ๐ฆ๐ฐ๐ต๐ผ๐ผ๐น ๐ง๐ผ๐ฝ ๐ก๐ผ๐๐ฐ๐ต๐ฒ๐ฟ,โ โ๐๐ฟ๐ฒ๐ฒ๐ป ๐ฆ๐ฐ๐ต๐ผ๐ผ๐น ๐๐๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ฑ ๐ง๐ผ๐ฝ ๐ก๐ผ๐๐ฐ๐ต๐ฒ๐ฟ,โ and the "๐ข๐๐๐๐๐ฎ๐ป๐ฑ๐ถ๐ป๐ด ๐ถ๐ป ๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ฑ๐ถ๐๐ฒ๐ฟ๐๐ถ๐๐ ๐๐ผ๐ป๐๐ฒ๐ฟ๐๐ฎ๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ปโ awards in Ecoluminaries Environmental Awardsโa testament to the universityโs steadfast efforts in protecting the Philippinesโ natural resources.
