The opening program for the In-House Review held yesterday, January 14, marked the start of the Bachelor of Science in Criminology graduating batchโs Licensure Examination for Criminologists (LEC) journey.
Facilitated by Central Philippines State Universityโs Review for Licensure Examination Office with the faculty and staff of the College of Criminal Justice Education (CCJE), the program was packed with profound messages for aspiring licensed criminologists as it was held at the CCJE Function Hall.
Fresh from the Strategic Planning and Onboarding Activities with the Orientation on the Scholarship CHED Memorandum Orders (CMOs) of the Commission on Higher Education Regional Office (CHEDRO) XVIII - Negros Island Region (NIR), CPSUโs Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Fernando D. Abello imparted a message for the graduating batch and their underclassmen.
Dr. Abello acknowledged the BSCrim reviewees as future law enforcers, and challenged the aspiring criminologists to secure a spot among the top national performers of the LEC to claim the P100,000.00 incentive from the universityโassuring them also of the universityโs commitment to providing quality education to prepare graduates to an increasingly globalized and borderless world.
The Director of the Review for Licensure Examination Office, Dr. Marjon C. Malacapay, expounded on the Statement of Purpose of the in-house review program, recounting university-wide board performance history and the increasing trend for passers as credited to conducting in-house review programs, implementation of culling processes, and observance of retention policies.
The Office of Student Services and Affairs (OSSA) Dean, Dr. Aubrey Ginelle E. Rallos, also expressed her support for the event and reminded the students to make the most of the opportunity to learn from quality service providers and lecturers, and to perceive learning as a continuous processโending her message with Colossians 3:23.
To prepare the reviewees for the review proper, CCJE Review Coordinator, Fred Cedric D. Porquez, introduced the pool of locally and nationally recognized LEC lecturers who will be sharing their expertise throughout the program, he also oriented the students with the review guidelines and addressed FAQs.
Mr. Michel Betongga and Maโam Michelle Cari-an ended the event by imparting significant tips for effective study habits and reemphasizing the messages of the event speakers, respectively.
