The newly renovated Homemaker's Building for the finance division was inaugurated on October 25, at Central Philippines State University (CPSU) Main Campus.
Rebuilt and remodeled, the new Homemaker Building now stands with modern aesthetic touches and is ready to house the office of the Vice President for Administration and Finance (VPAF), as well as the Chief Administrative Officer for Finance, Accounting, Budget, Cash and Disbursing, and Procurement Offices.
The University President, Dr. Aladino C. Moraca, the VPAF Engr. Marc Alexei Caesar B. Badajos, the Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Fernando D. Abello, and the administrative staff witnessed the inauguration and blessing of the building, with the renovation costing an estimated ₽6.5 million.
Dr. Moraca congratulated the contractor and the CPSU offices who were involved in the successful renovation of the building and reminded the personnel who will be occupying the offices to continue being service-oriented to the University clientele who come from all walks of life.
Rev. Fr. Ritchie A. Villaflor of Our Lady of Candles Chaplaincy offered a prayer and led the blessing of the building; attendees lit candles and solemnly entered the structure.
“This beautiful building will hopefully be a reflection of the quality of service that we will continue to provide our clientele, that is a challenge that I would like to impart to our personnel. Moreover, let us treat this place as our own—our home that we’ll take good care of. I believe that this is just the start of more developments in our university,” said Engr. Badajos.
More projects to accommodate university personnel are expected next year to improve process flows and make transactions more convenient for the clientele and employees.
Due to the Revised Organization and Staffing Standards for SUCs enabled the addition of 93 employees of permanent status to CPSU’s human resources within 2024 alone.
The Homemaker Building has a rich Cenphilian history as it served as a dormitory for female students and housed offices for the Office of Students Services and Affairs (OSSA), Supreme Student Government (SSG), CPSU Marching Band, The Cenphilian, and the Yearbook Office.
