The newly built Covered Court and Student Services Hub of Central Philippines State University – Sipalay Campus were blessed and inaugurated today, August 1, 2024—a milestone in the campus’ history of serving its stakeholders.
Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish Parochial Vicar, Rev. Fr. Freddie R. Delatado Jr., ceremonially blessed and inaugurated the new campus facilities, and celebrated the Baccalaureate Mass which followed the ceremony.
The construction of the Covered Court and the Student Services Hub respectively amounted to estimates of P4.7 million and P4 million.
Negros Occidental Sixth District Representative, Hon. Congresswoman Mercedes K. Alvarez, CPSU Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Fernando D. Abello, Campus Administrator Dr. Ervin F. Ferraris, and Mr. Jemuel Q. Diego led the ribbon cutting ceremony.
In his welcome address, Dr. Ferraris thanked CPSU President, Dr. Aladino C. Moraca, Vice President for Administration and Finance, Engr. Marc Alexei Caesar B. Badajos, and Congresswoman Alvarez for the materialization of the projects which will further provide Cenphilians with conducive facilities for their academic and co-curricular growth.
In his closing remarks Dr. Abello, acknowledged the guests of the event, thanked the efforts of the people behind the project, and encouraged students to maintain and exceed standards in their studies as their support to their alma mater.
Personnel from the Philippine National Police and Philippine Coast Guard, Representatives from the Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish, students, and parents also attended the momentous event with the CPSU faculty and staff.
