“But I am not here to talk about myself, but to tell the people gathered here in this occasion, the struggles of CPSU Hinigaran graduates of batch 2024. I am also here to magnify our efforts, and how the Lord helped us through different situations,” said Antonio S. Caballero, Class Valedictorian, Magna Cum Laude, and Bachelor of Science in Criminology graduate in his Commencement Address.
Graduates of five bachelor programs received their diplomas during Central Philippines State University – Hinigaran Campus’ 11TH Commencement Exercises on July 29, 2024, at the Campus' covered court.
Proud parents and guardians witnessed the presentation and confirmation of the graduates, the awarding of diplomas, and the conferring of special awards—commemorating the academic milestone of the graduating class of 2024.
“My dear graduates let me emphasize this, ‘excellence is not being perfect, but excellence is giving your best shot’. There are ups and downs that’s why we should keep the faith. I hope and pray that you will choose to be excellent wherever fate will bring you, inside our country or beyond.” expressed Mr. Geri Gambala, Christian for Nation Building (C4NB) Executive Director, Former Armed Forces of the Philippines Captain, in his Commencement Speech.
CPSU President Dr. Aladino C. Moraca, Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Fernando C. Abello, Campus Administrator Bella D. Supe, conferred awards to the Latin Honors Awardees of the said batch, recognizing their respective exemplary collegiate academic performances.
In his welcome address, President Moraca conveyed, “I am expecting that most of the graduates will not be only be looking for a job will also pursue enterprise, creating more job opportunities. I am hoping for this because this is the vision and the direction of the university that in the next five to ten years, our complimenting efforts will create more opportunities on the ground especially for the underprivileged members of the society.”
Negros Occidental 5th District Congressman, Hon. Atty. Emilio Bernardino L. Yulo, other university officials including Board of Regents members, office heads, and college deans attended the event in recognition of the graduates.
The graduates ended the momentous event with their graduation song, graduation dance, and the singing of the CPSU School Hymn.
