Central Philippines State University (CPSU) underwent rigid virtual evaluation by the Regional Quality Assurance Team (RQAT) headed by the Commission on Higher Education Regional Office (CHEDRO) VI director, Dr. Maura Consolacion Cristobal. Thirteen (13) programs offered in the five (5) extension campuses, such as the San Carlos Campus, Hinobaan Campus, Cauayan campus, Hinigaran Campus and Victorias Campus handed pertinent documents in support for the said virtual assessment last September 7, 9 and 16, 2021 via Zoom teleconference.
Purpose of the said evaluation was for the Certificate of Program Compliance (COPC) as an affirmation that the programs offered by the institution are compliant with the standards set by the Commission.
In particular, programs evaluated in San Carlos Campus were the Bachelor of Science in Information Technology (BSIT), Bachelor in Elementary Education (BEED) Bachelor of Science in Agri-Business (BSAB), and the Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management (BSHM) programs; the Victorias Campus for their Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management (BSHM) program, the Hinobaan campus for their Bachelor of Science in Information Technology (BSIT) and Bachelor of Science in Agri-Business (BSAB) and Bachelor in Elementary Education (BEED) programs, the Hinigaran Campus for their Bachelor of Science in Information Technology (BSIT), Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management (BSHM), Bachelor in Secondary Education (BSED) major in Mathematics, and Bachelor in Elementary Education (BEED) programs, and the Cauayan campus for their Bachelor of Science in Agri-Business (BSAB) program.
VP for Academic Affairs, Dr. Fernando Abello stated that this endeavor is part of the University’s pursuit for for quality tertiary education delivered to its main clienteles.
“Having this evaluation by the RQAT of CHEDROVI is a welcome improvement to ensure the quality of the services provided by the entire University system. This allows us to keep abreast with the trends and demands of higher education in our country. This would ensure that the university’s graduates are competent enough to par with other young professionals in their respective fields,” Dr. Abello stated.
For CPSU, this is part of its continuous efforts to enhance its academic services to bridge the dreams of every Negrense youth towards a brighter future for them and their families.
