Kabankalan City - Public Attorney's Office (PAO) organized a two-day community pantry in collaboration with Central Philippines State University last April 28-29, 2021 in front of the PAO Office, Kabankalan City Hall. The KABmunity PAOntry is an expression of generosity and compassion to the most vulnerable Kabankalanons who had been deeply affected by the pandemic through the spirit of “bayanihan.”
Seeing the noble cause of the endeavor, CPSU being its long-term partner, responded to support its program through donation of various goods and farm products which were also distributed to the locals. These were being shared to the community for free as they take according to their needs.
All in the name of generosity and solidarity amidst crisis, the following were shared by the University coming from its main and satellite campuses: the Cauayan campus spearheaded by Dr. Borres and Sir Gantalao donated 15 kg. monggo, the College of Business and Management through its dean Ma'am Ignacio, shared assorted essential goods, the Green Tech through Sir Tondo gave 15 kg. camote, the College of Agriculture and Forestry through Ma’am Moreno shared 18 packs of muscovado sugar, Dr. Castor and Dr. Vargas shared 2 sacks of lowland rice, the CATAFA through Ma'am Pedrosa shared assorted farm goods, the Sipalay campus through Dr. Ferraris gave 50 kg. eggplant, the Moises Padilla campus through Sir Gonzales shared 25 kg. calamansi , 42 kg. camote kg and 6 papaya fruits, and the Ilog Campus shared packs of dried fish.
This act of kindness and generosity of PAO and CPSU is a simple gesture of compassion, unity and cooperation to give hope and joy to all Kabankalanons to surmount adversities especially in this most pressing time.
