Valladolid Municipal Mayor, Hon. Enrique R. Miravalles, marched among Cenphilian graduands and was officially conferred with his Bachelor of Science in Agribusiness degree.
โToday, I stand before you, not as a mayor of this beloved town, but as a student, a learner, and a dreamer, who believes that growth and service can work hand-in-hand. This graduation is a symbol of our collective journey. It marks the day that a son of Valladolid, once a farmerโs child with calloused hands and simple dreams, completes a formal academic pursuit in agribusiness, an industry that feeds nations and sustains rural folksโฆ I did not pursue this degree for prestige and for power, I pursued it to remind our youth that learning never stops, no matter what type of learning, or how busy life becomes, no matter the age, it is never too late to return to the classroom to humble oneself at the feet of knowledge,โ said Hon. Miravalles.
5 Summa Cum Laude, 15 Magna Cum Laude, and 1 Cum Laude Latin distinctions, including 1 special award were also given to CPSU-VEC graduates who manifested very commendable performance in the four corners of their classrooms.
Class Valedictorian, Mel Tresha M. Tiu delivered the commencement address and expressed, โPrayers will not always be answered with a โyesโ, instead, it could also be a โwaitโ or a โnoโ. That reminder is what we should always keep to ourselves as we embark on new chapters in our lives and face the reality of thingsโฆI am dedicating this medal to our God, to every parent, especially to my โnanayโ and โtatayโ, to my classmates, and to all the graduating students of this institution.
On behalf of the Guest Speaker, Hon. Miguel Antonio C. Peรฑa, Mayor of the Municipality of Pulupandan, Ms. Christelle Peรฑa-Yulo conveyed a message as the Guest of Honor and Commencement Speaker.
Ms. Yulo expressed, โI wanted to share that the lesson here is to learn what it is we are meant to learn and to get up and put it behind us. That is the lesson of falling forwardโthe mindset that is crucial in success because it frees you to fully commit to the next chapter of our lives and the next chapter after that. So, graduates and families, please celebrate today and every success, but do not be afraid of failure. Remember, fall forward, thank you.โ
