Mr. Romnic A. Cabelin from Central Philippines State University’s College of Agriculture and Forestry presented his research study at the 11th International Conference on Agriculture (AGRICO 2024) in Bangkok, Thailand.
CPSU College of Agriculture and Forestry (CAF) was also recognized as the country coordinator and team member during the event, which featured the theme “Integrated Agricultural Management: Sustainable Eco-friendly Practices.”.
Mr. Cabelin presented his study titled “Pollination Studies of Stingless Bees [Tetragonula biroi Friese (Hymenoptera: Apidae; Meliponini)] on Coconuts," co-authored by Visayas State University’s Ms. Maria Juliet Ceniza—receiving a certificate of appreciation and a pin as tokens for sharing his expertise and paper.
Experts, scholars, and industry leaders convened in the event that transpired on September 23-24, 2024, to showcase breakthroughs and innovations in sustainable agriculture with around 150 physical and virtual attendees from various countries.
Organized by the International Institute of Knowledge Management, AGRICO 2024 aims “to foster a diverse and inclusive setting... to provide an excellent opportunity for attendees to engage with cutting-edge research and ideas in the field of agriculture.”
Mr. Cabelin’s contribution to the academe is a testament to the commitment of the university’s teaching force to enriching humanity’s understanding of the natural wonders that transpire around us on a micro and macro scale.
The recognition received by CPSU’s CAF is a fruition of the university’s longstanding goal of being a key player in protecting our biodiversity and an exemplar to its stakeholders and other institutions in generating leading technologies in agriculture.
