Central Philippines State University-Main Campus observed its November convocation with the theme, “National Campaign to End All Forms of Gender-Based Violence” on November 24 at the Administration Building’s lobby.
The event became a venue for substantial talk about Republic Act No. 9262, or the Anti-Violence Against Women and Their Children Act of 2004, as the Gender and Development Program Director, Ms. Shirley A. Calugcugan, shared her knowledge as its resource speaker.
Seven (7) passers of the Professional Forester Licensure Examination 2024 who took the exam last October 29-30, 2024 were also recognized as new Cenphilian foresters.
The university president, Dr. Aladino C. Moraca, informed the CPSU community of the relevant events being anticipated in the community, including the developments about House Bill No. 10042 for the conversion of CPSU Extension Campuses into regular campuses, the incoming Regional State Colleges and Universities Athletic Association (RSCUAA) meet 2024, and other soon-to-rise projects in the CPSU reserve.
The Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Fernando D. Abello, also announced significant events for the approaching end of the first semester and the beginning of the second semester for the academic year 2024-2025.
In addition, the university also recognized its new resident geologist, Ms. Jhaeza Gantalao, who passed the Professional Regulation Commission’s Geologist Licensure Examination on November 20-22, 2024.
