The Counseling and Guidance facilitated orientations for Central Philippines State University-Main Campus freshers, transferees, and continuing students at the old Criminology Building.
The orientations that spanned from Monday to Friday, September 2-6, 2024, introduced the services being provided and offered by the office to the student body—encompassing social, emotional, and psychological support for students’ wellbeing.
University Psychometrician and Guidance Services Head, Mr. Jirec A. Bacongco with the Guidance Counselor III, Ms. Sune S. Quintab, and Psychometrician/ Guidance Advocates, Ms. Leody May T. Villacarlos, and Ms. Cristel Mae D. Recto expounded on the topic and answered inquiries as orientation speakers.
As reflected by the orientation and its existing services, the office aims to address the increasing trend of anxiety and depression among the youth and so, continues to advocate for healthier mental health among students who are prone to problems brought on by various pressures and problems.
The speakers and office personnel expressed their willingness to cater to the needs of Cenphilians, encouraging them to visit the Guidance and Counseling Office which commits to being their safe space throughout their stay in CPSU.
