Philippine Red Cross Bacolod Chapter, Chapter Administrator Ms. Rita Benita Mirasol led the organizationโs team in assessing Central Philippines State Universityโs partner communities last August 15.
University President Dr. Aladino C. Moraca and other key officials accompanied the team as they visited Purok Pinamus-an, Sitio Cabugan and Sitio Lukay, Barangay Camingawan, and Purok Matanguilan, Barangay Tagukon, Kabankalan City.
The assessment aims to identify eligible household recipients for CPSU and Red Cross Bacolod Chapterโs project, โBridging Rural Infrastructure Development for Growth and Empowerment: A Strategic Partnership Initiative.โ
To address the inadequate access to clean water, sanitation facilities, reliable energy, and educational resources within rural communities, the Philippine Red Cross Bacolod Chapter is partnering with the university to reach their target recipients and extend necessary measures and interventionsโcreating real societal impact.
In addition to the interviews conducted, the Red Cross and CPSU teams also visited a water source in Sitio Cabugan, trekking down a steep area to experience the residentsโ daily struggle to source water for their domestic needs.
More activities are being anticipated under the partnership soon.
