Currently being held at CPSU Main Campus RDEC Conference Room and is scheduled from July 16 to 17, 2024, the protocol workshop is being conducted over CPSU and SEARICE's partner farmers' associations and the University of the Philippines Los Baños (UPLB) participants.
The activity's objectives are to enhance the knowledge of SEARICE community partners on their rights to their seeds, protect partners' rights by establishing a mechanism through the biocultural community protocol, and clarify their roles and responsibilities in the conservation and sustainable use of their plant genetic resources and their traditional knowledge therein.
The Biocultural Community Protocol Workshop is being facilitated by the core team from CPSU and SEARICE respectively headed by Production and Enterprise Development Office Director Dr. Maryvic P. Pedrosa and Executive Director Ms. Normita G. Ignacio.
