The Training of Trainers (TOT) is underway as the opening program for the three-day seminar held at the Central Philippines State University Main Campus RDEC Conference Hall commenced today, May 13.
CPSU, the Department of Science and Technology (DOST), and Technological University of the Philippines-Visayas (TUP-V), and resource persons are conducting the seminar training among beneficiary institutions’ representatives from all six districts of Negros Occidental.
In his message, CPSU President Dr. Aladino C. Moraca highlighted the importance of the project’s success in the province and its potential country-wide benefits in the future.
Assistant Provincial Science and Technology Director Mr. Glady T. Reyes from DOST and Campus Director Dr. Eric A. Malo-oy from TUP-V attended the event and also imparted their respective messages for the TOT attendees.
The Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Fernando D. Abello also expressed his support—emphasizing on the need to empower students and farmers through training on Science and Technology and on sharing knowledge to the community.
The Science and Technology Interventions included in the training are namely: Human Resource Management; Training and Orientation on Starbooks; Visser Operation; and 3D Modeling, Slicing, and Printing.
