Praying for the board examinationโs success of its Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering (BSME) graduates, Central Philippines State Universityโs administration, faculty, staff, and students convened for the celebration of the Eucharistic Mass on the morning of February 19, 2024, officiated by Rev. Fr. Ritchie A. Villaflor.
At 10:20 am, Rev. Father Villaflor of Our Lady of Candles Chaplaincy led the celebration, interceding for the success of CPSU BSME February 20-22, 2024 board examination takers, CPSU BSEE April 24-25, 2024 board examination takers, the second semester for the academic year 2023-2024, and the heavenly repose of the late former Vice President for Academic Affairs (VPAA) Mr. Julio Aboy Palomarโs soul.
Sponsored by the College of Engineering (COE) headed by Engr. Kris V. Montinola and with the cooperation of the Office for Student Services and Affairs headed by Dr. Pilipinas Ma. D. Jareรฑo, the university observed its monthly convocation for February and the Divine Liturgy held at the Clemente Sports Complex.
In his homily, Rev. Father Villaflor expressed, โThis is what we should aim for in the end, to strive to be recognized and be known by the Lord Jesus. Only then will we be able to reap the rewards of His grace in this world and also, the rewards from the Father in heaven. If you want to be recognized, always bear in mind that it is a mission to do good for your brothers and sistersโฆas the Lord Jesus said, โWhatever you do for the least of my brethren, you do it for me.โโ
CPSUโs Catholic Youth Organization served as the choir, singing the liturgical songs and responses for the Eucharistic Mass.
Before the liturgical celebration, the convocation ensued according to its traditional orderโinvocation, singing of the Philippine National Anthem, recitation of Patriotic Oaths, recitation of the Oath of Public Servants, and the singing of CPSUโs institutional hymn.
The attendees were dismissed as the ceremony ended at 11:20 am.
