With the theme, “Research and Development Symposium across Disciplines,” the University Research and Development Services (RDS) once again held an Agency In-house Review last May 18-19, 2023.
As an annual activity of the Office, it serves as an avenue for both internal and external researchers and personnel to share to a wider platform salient findings of their completed researches, and gain insights and suggestions from expert evaluators for possible journal publications. This also provides participants the opportunity to be guided on their research proposals for possible future funding.
The four categories for both the completed studies and research proposals were (1) Governance, Policy Studies, Social Sciences, Arts, Languages and GAD Research, (2) Basic Teacher Education and Mathematics Research, (3) Natural/Biological Sciences Research Category and the (4) Developmental and Technological Research.
Papers were scrutinized by a set of panel evaluators namely, Dr. Leo Andrew Biclar, the university Research director of the Capiz State University, Dr. Dennis V. Madrigal, the dean of the Recoletos de Bacolod Graduate School from University of Negros Occidental-Recoletos, Ma’am Johannes M. Magpusao, Assistant Professor and the research coordinator of the University of the Philippines Visayas, Ma’am Kristy Amor A. Garcia, Msc the director of the Center Studies in Biotechnology from Cebu Technological University-Barili Campus, Dr. Ryan Micheal Oducado the director of the University Research and Development Office from Western Visayas State University, and Dr. Clea Ann Corsiga the dean of College of Agriculture.
In total, there were about 52 presented completed studies and research proposals coming from CAS, CAF, CCS, CBM, COTED, CCJE, Cauayan Campus, Hinoba-an Campus, Candoni Campus, Moises Padilla Campus, Sipalay Campus, San Carlos Campus, Victorias Campus, and Valladolid and Murcia Ext. Classes.
This event was spearheaded and become possible through the effort of the director of the Research and Development Services, Dr. Angelie Rose L. Lumba, PhD.
