HIMAMAYLAN CITY | September 24, 2026 โ€” Central Philippines State University (CPSU), through the participation of faculty from the Forestry Department and CPSU Hinigaran Campus, joined various partner institutions and stakeholders in the activity โ€œCreation Spirituality in the Context of Climate Change and Biodiversity Lossโ€ held at the San Columbano Mission/Retreat Center, Batang, Brgy. Talaban.

Facilitated through the Negros Nine Human Development Foundation, Inc. (NNHDFI), the activity emphasized the movement of ecological conversion from inner transformation to outward action, personal commitment to communal responsibility, and stillness to meaningful engagement.

The gathering brought together participants from different institutions and organizations, creating a space for reflection, dialogue, and shared learning on the interconnectedness of faith, people, climate, biodiversity, and care for creation.

Participants reflected on how spirituality can deepen awareness of todayโ€™s environmental challenges and inspire concrete responses within institutions and communities.

The participation of the CPSU College of Agriculture and Forestryโ€”Forestry Department faculty and Hinigaran Campus personnel, together with other partners, further strengthened opportunities for interdisciplinary and multi-stakeholder collaboration, supporting CPSUโ€™s continuing efforts to integrate instruction, research, extension, community engagement, and ecological stewardship.

Through partnerships like this, CPSU continues to translate ecological awareness into shared responsibility and action toward the care of people, communities, biodiversity, and our common home.

From reflection to conversion. From conversion to collaboration. From collaboration to action.
