LOOK: College of Computer Studies faculty and students from Central Philippines State University (CPSU) have embarked on a week-long international immersion program at the University of Da Nang Software Development Center in Da Nang, Vietnam.
Representing the Main Campus are third-year BSIT students RJ Z. Paglomutan and Crizthel S. Eslozar, while Sherlyn M. Semillano and Jannah A. Lazaro from the CPSU Hinigaran Campus complete the university's student delegation.
Accompanying the student delegates throughout the week-long program are Dr. Glorybe E. Alegre, Dean of the College of Computer Studies; and Dr. Jefrey G. Alegia, Program Head of the CPSU Hinigaran Campus' College of Computer Studies.
The immersion program aims to strengthen the students' technical competencies and global perspectives through intensive learning sessions on emerging technologies and industry practices.
Throughout the week, the participants will undergo training on the practical applications of Artificial Intelligence (AI), blockchain technology, and other advanced information technology concepts while gaining first-hand exposure to the professional IT industry in an international setting.
Together with the delegates is Dr. Joe-An Mae G. Escober, Director of International Affairs and Linkages Office, who initiated the partnership with the University of Da Nang last January 16, 2026; Dr. Escober will also sign a ceremonial Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the said university.
The international immersion reflects CPSU's continuing commitment to providing transformative learning opportunities that equip students with globally competitive skills, foster cross-cultural collaboration, and prepare future IT professionals for the demands of the rapidly evolving digital landscape.
