Amid cheers, resounding applause, and emotional farewells, the Class of 2026 of Central Philippines State University (CPSU)-Candoni Campus culminated their baccalaureate journey in the 11th Commencement Exercises on May 22, 3036.

Sixty-five (65) Bachelor of Science in Agribusiness (BSAB) and ten (10) Bachelor of Elementary Education (BEED) graduands, clad in their yellow-and-royal-blue-accented hoods over their graduation robes, had finally received their confirmation as graduates.

To recognize her efforts in raising the Cenphilian banner high in the recent March 2026 Licensure Examination for Teachers (LET) - Elementary Level, PHP50,000 was officially given by CPSU, as facilitated by the universityโ€™s Review and Licensure Examination Office, to Ms. San Chien A. Montecastro, LPT, who ranked 5th with a 93.80 percent rating.

The Municipal Government of Candoni conferred another PHP30,000, which was personally conferred by Hon. Engr. Jay R. Ruiz, Candoni Municipal Mayor, and relayed the local government unit-sponsored teaching opportunity to Ms. Montecastro to serve the students of Candoni.

โ€œA city may rise with developing structures, but if the people remain hungry, disconnected, unsafe, or hopeless, then development remains incomplete. This is why your education matters. Education empowers you not only to earn a living but to understand society. To solve problems, create solutions, and inspire change. The knowledge and skills you acquire from CPSU are tools, but how you use them will define your legacy. Some of you may become teachers, tools, or clients. Some may become farmers, entrepreneurs, or agricultural leaders who will lead in our food security endeavors and create opportunities. Some may enter public service and may help draft policies and influence society. Some may become researchers, cyclists, scientists, planners, innovators, and leaders in fields that you still cannot imagine. But whatever path you choose, never forget that success is not only about you,โ€ said Dr. Evangeline Bacaro Alo, EnP, RAgr, Commencement Speaker.

Two Magna Cum Laude recipients were recognized as the Latin distinction awardees for their exemplary academic performances throughout their baccalaureate journeys.

โ€œThis moment in life is more than receiving a diploma. It is a celebration of perseverance. Each one of us carries a unique story, struggles, triumphs, and shapes us into the individual we are today. As we celebrate this remarkable milestone, may we all remember the people who became part of our journey and helped us reach this moment. First and foremost, I give all the glory and honor to the God Almighty for His endless guidance, wisdom, and strength throughout this journey. There were moments when I felt exhausted, stressed, uncertain, and overwhelmed. Yet, His grace carried every obstacle. Without His approving love and blessings, this achievement would not have been possible. This medal I earned is for my parents. In this regard, the honor I received is also dedicated to them. Because my achievements are their achievements too. It symbolizes their unwavering love, support, and sacrifices for me, despite the hardships and challenges in life,โ€ said Ashley V. Pajarillo, Magna Cum Laude and Highest Academic Honors awardee.

On behalf of Dr. Aladino C. Moraca, University President, confirmed the candidates who were presented by Dr. Reynaldo J. Canono and Sir Rosmar B. Pinaga, PhD CAT, the program heads for BSAB and BEED, respectively.

โ€œTo our dear graduates, as you step into the next chapter of your lives, remember that your university will always take pride in your accomplishments. Carry forward the lessons you have learned within this hall, remain steadfast in your dreams, and never forget your capacity to create positive change in the world,โ€ said Dr. Juno E. Pajarillo, Campus Administrator.

Honorable Ruiz also expressed his felicitations and personal experiences to the students, parents, and guardians for the Commencement Exercises in his inspirational message.

CPSU-Candoni celebrated the culmination in thanksgiving as they held the Baccalaureate Mass, followed by the hooding ceremony, where parents and guardians donned the graduation robes and caps on the graduands who were anticipating their graduation that afternoon.

Cenphilians from first year to fourth year were also recognized for exhibiting exceptional performances in their academic and co-curricular undertakings for the academic year 2025-2026, highlighting well-rounded development among students and reinforcing commendable performances among students.
