Garnering a score of 915.80 out of 1000, equivalent to 91.85 percent in the Regional Annual Administrative and Tactical Inspection (RAATI) 2026, Central Philippines State University (CPSU) Reserve Officers’ Training Corps Unit (ROTCU) delivered a commendable performance on April 23, 2026.
The unit’s performance across the evaluation areas is as follows: (1) Administration and management: 199.5 / 200 points; (2) Arrival honors: 49.70 / 50 points; (3) Ceremonial parade: 148 / 150 points; (4) Inspection in Ranks: 49.10 / 50 points; (5) Close order drills: 49.65 / 50 points; (6) Military stakes (Map Reading): 86.20 / 100 points; (7) Military stakes (Weapons): 84.0 / 100 points; (8) Movement Techniques (Small Unit Training): 91.50 / 100 points; (9) Basic Life Support: 44.55 / 50 points; and (10) Comprehensive Examination: 113.20 / 150 points.
The Cenphilian cadets and cadettes from various CPSU campuses demonstrated well-coordinated troop formations and manual of arms, to which the audience actively applauded, and showed their acquired knowledge in various written and practical assessments—reflecting their discipline formed from the learning experience they acquired in the ROTC program.
The Small Unit Training, where the cadets and cadettes in both small groups and platoon, utilized the use of camouflage; executed individual movement techniques, buddy team movements, formations & order of movement, performed positions and responsibilities within a team or patrol, and proper hand and arm signals in apprehending hostile forces, was the highlight of the event.
COL DON L VILLANUEVA GSC (INF) PA, Director, 605th Community Defense Center, 6RCDG, RESCOM, PA, led the RAATI team in the tactical inspection for the evaluation of the aforementioned areas, and announced the result of the evaluation.
“Based on the program that is being given to us, we have fully implemented it. So, congratulations, my dear cadets and cadettes. To our tactical non-commission officers (NCOs), thank you so much for the efforts you have extended for the proper implementation of the ROTC program,” said National Service Training Program Director Dr. Salvador C. Castor, Jr.
During the ceremony, Dr. Grenny I. Jungco, Vice President for Academic Affairs; COL LUCELO Q BETINOL (RET) PA, CPSU ROTCU Commandant; SGT MICHEL E BETONGGA, MSCJ, MPA, RES(PA), University ROTCU Coordinator, and 1LT ODESSA L FAIRBANKS (RES) PA, Assistant Commandant, were present in the event, which was witnessed by CPSU key officials, faculty, staff, and students alike.
The female and male sponsors, led by their adviser, Ma’am Rona M. Borbon, were also present, actively showing their support and service by ushering the RAATI team, while the CPSU Marching Band, led by their adviser, Dr. Denis D. Bilocura, also performed and marched alongside the ROTC cadets and cadettes, demonstrating commendable discipline.
