EARIST-CHTM revisits CPSU for collaborative meeting with Cenphilian key officials

The Eulogio “Amang” Rodriguez Institute of Science and Technology’s College of Hospitality and Tourism Management (EARIST-CHTM) held a collaborative meeting with key officials from Central Philippines State University.

The “Building Linkages for Academic Excellence: EARIST and CPSU Collaborative Meeting” was held at the CPSU Mulberry Mini-Hotel on April 7, 2026, where CPSU and EARIST teams discussed the possible directions to explore in their partnership.

In an open forum, the teams outlined their vision for a potential five-year collaborative initiative between higher education institutions, based on existing best practices, developed technologies, and current engagements of the parties involved.

The discussions in the open forum emphasized enterprise and broadening potential markets, with participants engaging to outline expected objectives—highlighting the creation and preservation of innovative products using value-added indigenous products, underscoring the importance of sustained research engagement to maximize these resources.

EARIST’s CHTM Dean, Dr. Maria Rhoda D. Dinaga, Asst. Prof. Perlita M. Mallari, and Instructors, Mr. Elmer Bong Quintana, Ms. Jocelyn P. Perez, Mr. John Erwin C. Matol, and Ms. Tenie P. Lirazan represented the partner institution, accompanied by Kabankalan Catholic College’s President, Fr. Richard L. Lachica.

University President Dr. Aladino C. Moraca underscored the Cenphilian formula for success, with collaboration and innovation as key drivers of the university’s growth, and discussed the significance of HEI’s strategic partnerships and technology generation in nation building, while CPSU Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Grenny I. Jungco delivered the welcome remarks, expressing optimism about future opportunities for collaboration with stakeholders and partner institutions.

In her closing remarks, Dean Dr. Dinaga relayed, “Let's carry this momentum forward as we start what we have planned this afternoon. Thank you. Once again, congratulations, and may this meeting mark the beginning of a fruitful and strong partnership.”

College of Hospitality Management – Dean Ma’am Sheila A. Ignacio, MBA-HRM, introduced the members of the visiting EARIST-CHTM team, and International Affairs & Linkages Office (IALO) Director Dr. Joe-an Mae G. Escober delivered the event and engagement’s statement of purpose.

Extension and Community Services Office Director Dr. Jimmy O. Degillo and Quality Assurance Director Engr. Rose Ann Jocson also joined the event with the faculty members of the CPSU-CHM and the staff of the CPSU-IALO.
