Office of Student Services and Affairs (OSSA) Practitioners Synergy 2025 ended productively at the Central Philippines State University Main Campus, celebrating the theme “One Vision, One Action: Building Stronger OSSA for Student Success.”

OSSA practitioners throughout the CPSU system convened at the event, which was held on August 13, 2025, at the CPSU–Main Campus’ Accreditation Center.

OSSA Director, Dr. Aubrey Ginelle P. Rallos, discussed the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) Memorandum Order (CMO) No. 09, series of 2013, or the Enhanced Policies and Guidelines on Student Affairs and Services.

Furthermore, Doctor Rallos also tackled existing OSSA forms and the CIC application process, aiding new practitioners in becoming familiar with student service-related processes and updating seasoned practitioners with recent developments.

Moreover, OSSA Scholarship and Financial Assistance Coordinator Ma’am Romelyn May L. Cuizon oriented attendees on the Scholarship Process Flow, while OSSA Student Publication Adviser Dr. Josephine Asuncion R. Emoy shared her campus journalism expertise by unpacking the Write to Speak through Student Publication talk.

“By uniting under a shared vision, OSSA practitioners reaffirm their commitment to student-centered campuses, while aligning common actions ensures cohesion, consistency, and efficiency in service delivery. Ultimately, this synergy is not just internal alignment; it is a promise to every student that they are supported by a team moving forward as one,” said Doctor Rallos in her welcoming remarks and reading of the activity’s rationale.

Vice President for Administration and Finance, Dr. Marc Alexei Caesar B. Badajos, gave an inspirational message to the attendees and provided an overview of the top management and key officials’ plans to improve the system-wide OSSA services for more than 14,700 CPSU students.

Curriculum and Planning Development Director (formerly OSSA Director), Dr. Pilipinas Ma. D. Jareño also imparted an inspirational message rooted in her extensive and rich OSSA experience, which resonated with the practitioners, giving the participants valuable tips in handling stress and pressure.

To keep the attending practitioners focused and participative amidst the rainy weather, OSSA Counseling and Guidance Services Coordinator, Dr. Jirec A. Bacongco, facilitated the energizers throughout the morning and the afternoon sessions.
