With arms lovingly linked, Cenphilians marched with their proud families who beamed humble smiles and were elated by the graduandsโ€™ completion of their baccalaureate odysseys.

The 14th Commencement Exercises of Central Philippines State University-Moises Padilla Campus celebrated 181 graduates from the Class of 2025 today, June 18, at the Moises Padilla Municipal Gymnasium.

181 graduandsโ€”102 from the Bachelor of Science in Agribusiness program and 79 from the Bachelor of Elementary Education major in General Education programโ€”took center stage to obtain their hard-earned baccalaureate diplomas after Dr. Grenny I. Jungco, CPSU Vice President for Academic Affairs, confirmed their graduation on behalf of Dr. Aladino C. Moraca, CPSU University President.

CPSU key officialsโ€”VPAA Jungco, CPSU- Moises Padilla Campus Administrator, Dr. Rosemie G. Gequillana; Board Secretary V, Nelly N. Cabual; and Public Information Office Head, Dr. Freia L. Vargasโ€”with the faculty and staff in their graduation gowns and traditional Filipino apparel joined the graduands, parents, and guardians in the customary graduation procession through the red carpet to mark the beginning of the ceremony.

โ€œOn behalf of the Central Philippines State University-Moises Padilla Campus, it is with great pride and gratitude that I welcome you all to the 14th Commencement Exercises with the theme: โ€œLegacy of Wisdom, Celebrating Success: 14 Years Strong and Infinite Futures.โ€ This is a momentous occasion where we shine a spotlight on the achievements of our students who have shown exemplary performance, dedication, and determination throughout their four-year academic journeys here in CPSU. Today, we do not only confirm our graduates and their academic achievements, but also the CPSU core values, which are ingrained from you, graduandsโ€ฆLet us not only celebrate the medals and diplomas, but also the journey that led to this day. May this day remind you of the power of dreams, hard work, and resilience,โ€ said Dr. Jungco as he welcomed the attendees in his opening remarks.

Two Magna Cum Laude and two Cum Laude Latin distinction recipients were recognized for their exceptional academic prowess and diligence, earning medals and certificates of recognition.

In her Commencement Address, Class Valedictorian, Ms. Rose Ann E. Campanil said, โ€œLife does not end here, there are greater opportunities ahead, waiting for us. Let us be proud of what we have achieved, and continue to strive for excellence, because success is not solely defined by academic distinctions. Let us always remember that we are not rejected, but rather, redirected. So, go forth and celebrate this milestone with our loved ones because we deserve it. As we leave this university, let us not forget where we came from, and let us use what weโ€™ve gained here to make a difference in the lives of others.โ€

To inspire the graduates, Guest of Honor, Mr. Christhony S. Delapaz, Lic. Agri. shared his testimony as a CPSU alumnus in his commencement speechโ€”emphasizing the need to help local farmers and giving them the chance to share in the advancements of time and technology, as well as expounding the potential of entrepreneurship in improving the lives of our grassroots heroes.

In addition, Mr. Delapaz said, โ€œI would like you to express your gratitude to your parents and guardians who helped you to get through the challenges of life and made sacrifices to provide you with the best quality of life that they can. I am happy that you did not take their efforts for granted and that you finished your studies to have earned your diplomas. Today is your day. Once again, congratulations, parents, and graduates!โ€

Prior to the Commencement Exercises in the afternoon, graduands, parents, and guardians convened for a formal invocation in the Baccalaureate Mass celebrated by Rev. Fr. Romen Arpeh Daub, Parish Priest of San Isidro Labrador Parish-Moises Padilla.

Following the Eucharistic Mass celebration, the reality of completing their baccalaureate programs seemed to sink into the graduands as their loved ones donned their caps and gowns during the Hooding Ceremony.

The exemplary academic and co-curricular performances of CPSU-Moises Padilla Cenphilians were recognized through conferred tokens of recognition in the 17th Recognition Ceremonyโ€”highlighting outstanding student-manifested leadership, volunteerism, cultural & literary excellence, athleticism, parliamentary adeptness, journalism, and service, as well as noteworthy thesis, On-the-Job Training, and practice teaching performances.

CPSU-Valladolid Extension Class Campus will be celebrating its Commencement Exercises tomorrow, June 19, 2025.
