The Central Philippines State University kicked off the 2024-2025 academic year with a dynamic and engaging convocation, themed, "PAGPADAYON: A Process of a Continuous Learning", to welcome freshmen and re-energize returning Cenphilians last August 26.
Amidst the rain and held in front of the CPSU Admin Building, the Supreme Student Organization and the Office of Student and Services Affairs defied the weather to orchestrate an event that resonated the spirit of oneness in the community, openness to learning, and hope for new beginnings.
The event began with a formal convocation ceremony, with a welcoming address delivered by the University President Dr. Aladino C. Moraca who emphasized the institutionโs commitment to academic excellence and personal growth.
The CPSUโs newly hired and reclassified personnel had taken their oath to formally mark the beginning of their public service journey.
Hon. Ramon D. Peรฑalosa, Jr. also took his oath as the newly appointed Private Sector Representative of the Board of Regents with Dr. Moraca serving as the inducting officer.
The Turning Over Ceremony and Oath Taking of newly elected SSG and FLP Officers with Hon. Ralph G. Alvarez, representing Hon. Mercedes K. Alvarez, inducting the ceremony also ensued.
Board Secretary, Mrs. Nelly N. Cabual presented the Board of Regents (BOR) and the Administrative Council Members, Vice President for Administration and Finance, Engr. Marc Alexei Caesar B. Badajos introduced the non-teaching personnel, and the College Deans also introduced their respective faculty and staff to the
#CPSU community.
The event concluded with a community dance led by the selected faculty and students at the College of Teacher Education and the singing of the CPSU Hymn of the personnel, faculty, and students.
