Commission on Higher Education Regional Office 6 Director, Dr. Raul C. Alvarez Jr., CESO III delivered the Commencement Speech during Central Philippines State University Don Justo J. Valmayor - San Carlos Campus’ 8th Commencement Exercises, August 8, 2024.

To inspire the graduates and teach them valuable lessons before they set out to their respective fields and industries, Regional Director Alvarez shared profound experiences and invaluable wisdom in his speech during the event held at the City Auditorium, San Carlos City.

49 Magna Cum Laude, 16 Cum Laude awardees were also recognized in the ceremony as the university officials conferred medals as tokens of the distinction recipients' scholastic achievements.

444 graduands were formally presented and confirmed as graduates of batch 2024, receiving their diplomas for their respective programs.

Rico M. Fajardo Jr., Bachelor of Science in Agribusiness - Magna Cum Laude, Class Valedictorian spoke on behalf of the graduating class in his commencement address, “I’ll let you in on a secret—how I made it, on how I became your class valedictorian. It wasn’t by competing with my classmates, measuring my worth against their achievements, or by comparing grades. Instead, I made a conscious decision to compete with myself. By competing with myself, I found that success followed naturally. Each step forward, no matter how small, was a step towards the ultimate goal. I learned to appreciate the journey, and that’s what led me to stand here today.”

Esteemed guests and benefactors Mr. Carlos Manuel L. Valmayor and Mr. Armando Federico Valmayor celebrated batch 2024’s academic milestone with the University’s Board of Regent Members, Academic and Administrative Council members, officials, and the campus’ faculty and staff headed by CPSU DJJV Campus Administrator Mr. Ken Balogo.
