Aklan State University officials conduct benchmarking at CPSU

To share best practices for internalization, Aklan State University (ASU) President Dr. Emily M. Arangote and officials convened with Central Philippines State University’s (CPSU) internationalization core team last March 1 at CPSU’s RDEC Conference Room.


International Affairs and Quality Assurance Officer-in-Charge Dr. Eleanor F. Rosales, Gender and Development Focal Person Prof. Julie Ann A. Salido, and Office of Student Affairs and Services (OSSA) Director Dr. Marlyn J. Baylosis accompanied Dr. Arangote in the internalization benchmarking with CPSU President Dr. Aladino C. Moraca.

 

As a part of the benchmarking endeavor, CPSU’s internalization core team shared their output and their experiences for the university’s internalization campaign which were submitted and garnered recognition from the World University Rankings of Innovation (WURI), the Times Higher Education (THE), and UI Green Metric.

 

CPSU’s internationalization core team members, International Affairs Director Dr. Joe-an Mae G. Escober, IMPDC Director Dr. Josephine Emoy, CPSU-Sipalay Campus Dean of Instruction Dr. Aubrey Ginelle P. Rallos, Research and Development Director Dr. Angelie Rose L. Lumba, and Marie Dame Earl Waldato, along with Planning and Development Director Engr. Maria Cristina C. Badajos, Extension, and Community Services Director Dr. Jimmy O. Degillo assembled with the ASU guests, mutually entertaining inquiries and sharing ideas.


Dr. Moraca hosted the tour for the ASU officials around diverse project sites that CPSU has developed throughout recent years; this includes the Essential Oil Processing Center, Engineered Bamboo Facility, Historical and Cultural Heritage Center, Muscovado production facility, CPSU Handloom Weaving Project, CPSU Radyo Muscovado Sweet FM, and Tagukon Agricultural Tramline.

 

Both universities and their officials are looking forward for the academic institutions to excel in penetrating the international limelight for Higher Education Institutions—showcasing innovation and relevant technologies in responding to the changing times.

The ASU officials arrived at the university on February 29 and ended their official visit on March 2.
