Representatives from World Vision โ€“ Philippines and key officials from Central Philippines State University (CPSU) held an exploratory meeting to discuss potential food security and community livelihood programs designed for the universityโ€™s Moises Padilla Campus.

World Vision Ph representatives oriented CPSU officials about the transnational non-government organizationโ€™s vision, which is, โ€œOur vision for every child, life in all its fullness; Our prayer for every heart, the will to make it so,โ€ and also showcased their current undertakings in the Municipality of Moises Padilla.

They also presented potential target projects that, through a World Vision Ph-CPSU partnership, the parties could jointly explore to support agricultural activities, indigenous food value-adding innovation, and raw material generation to support emerging local industries.

University President Dr. Aladino C. Moraca shared his insights on the presented potential collaborative projects on behalf of the university, providing his take on project practicalities, ground implementation approaches, and presenting potential raw material to value-adding industry chains.

The current technologies developed by the university for the advancement of the academe and for revitalizing local industriesโ€”for rural area development, grassroots enterprise engagement, and employment opportunity generationโ€”were also discussed during the meeting.

The exploratory meeting took place on April 22, 2026, at the CPSU-Main Campus Administrative Building Conference Room, and present during the event in support of the initiative were Dr. Grenny I. Jungco, Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Hanzel L. Pedrosa, College of Agriculture and Forestry Dean; Dr. Jimmy O. Degillo, Extension and Community Services Office Director; Atty. Gil Ryan Alegario, Legal Office Head; and Mr. Charlie Magne C. Coronel, Planning Officer III and Non-Teaching Personnel Organization President.
